About Us
Full Moon Farm Collective’s mission is to grow and donate organically grown food for community members who lack access, create beautiful healing spaces, and serve as a learning organization dedicated to teaching life skills.
While the farm has a long history with veggie production, we are offering new programs within our nonprofit related to mental health, arts, and outdoor learning events. 2025 is our first year hosting monthly workshops to the public. To date, we have held 8 workshops on the farm for donation or free to the public. You can view listed workshops at these links:
We have grown
10,000 pounds
of vegetables and fruits in 2025 for distribution to local food pantries and kitchens. By combining organic methods and food sovereignty principles we bring more nutrition and LIFE to families relying on food aid.
For almost 10 years, produce from our farm has reached thousands of families served by trusted partner organizations such as: F.A.R.M. Cafe, Hunger and Health Coalition, Hospitality House, Casting Bread, Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture, Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, and Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project.
Workting with these organizations allows our vegetables to reach the following counties in North Carolina Watauga, Avery, Ashe, Alleghany, Mitchell, Wilkes, Yancey and in Tennessee, Johnson county.
Ecotherapy & Wellness
In 2025 we launched our Ecotherapy Workshop Series facilitated by Kristin Wilson, LCSW.
Six in person workshops have been held on the farm to bring participants a greater connection to themselves, their community, and nature. Over 30 people have joined in these experiences to learn nature-based wellness techniques to reduce anxiety, lift depression, change the relationship to stress, and generally improve mental health concerns.
< While we have no photos of participants due to anonymity guidelines, here is an example of a grief mound created by participants to embody their journey with this emotion.
Here are two reviews after the Ecotherapy workshops:
“I can’t put into words how empowering it was to be surrounded by a small yet mighty group that was patient, supportive, and dared me to dig deep. For me, mind body connections have always been hard and I have a long way to go, but feeling so light and relaxed afterwards was bodily proof that some magic happened!”
“The [workshop] rhythm struck a beautiful balance between structure and organic unfolding, allowing space for curiosity, insight, and deep personal and metaphorical connection. I left feeling more connected to the land, the water, and to each person in the circle. I only wished I could have stayed longer in that container of care. Thank you for holding such a nourishing space.”
