Trailer & Hauling Basics

PAST Life Skills Workshop

November 16th, 2025 11AM - 3PM

Please register by 11/15 11AM

Learn the fundamental skills to safely hook up to and drive a trailer behind a vehicle. We will demonstrate using a small SUV and large truck to be hitched to small, medium and large trailers. Ratchet straps and rope tie downs will also be covered so you feel prepared to move any material in any condition!

This workshop will be led by Kara Dodson, long time farmer and trailer hauling warrior. From hauling her horses across the country to wiring the trailer brakes on her first rig, she’s a well rounded and safety-first kind of instructor.

This is an ideal workshop for anyone new to the idea of pulling something behind a vehicle. There will be time for participants wanting to learn about 5th wheel hitches and larger hauling situations.

Meet the Horses & Heal

PAST Ecotherapy Workshop

September 27th, 2025 12PM - 4PM

Come to the farm to meet our four horses and learn more about connecting with these beautiful souls on a healing level. We offer this Ecotherapy / Equine Therapy time as an “Open House” for community members to interact with the horses in a safe way.

This will also be the one year anniversary of Hurricane Helene. The storm and aftermath were devastating to our region. And though we rose as a region and a people to care for each other and rebuild slowly, we all still carry scars and traumas from that period.

We hope this time with the horses will be a chance for reflection, connection, serenity, release, and more for you and your loved ones. This time will be facilitated by Kara Dodson and volunteers with Full Moon Farm. This is an appropriate event for people of all ages and abilities - even if you cannot get out of the car we will bring a horse to you for connection!

Tending to Anger & Fire

PAST Ecotherapy Workshop

July 26th, 2025 12PM - 4PM

This is the second of a series of 4 Ecotherapy workshops designed to tend to our four primary emotions: Grief, Anger, Fear, and Joy.  Each emotion will be associated with a primary element of nature to work together to support you.

We will work with the element of fire and the heat of the mid-summer at Full Moon Farm.  You may feel anger associated with injustice and oppression, personal trauma and harm you have experienced, our political environment, limitations you experience for various reasons, etc.  Maybe you feel rage due to the destruction of our Earth, the inhumanity in the world, maybe a more personal rage, or the lack of rage.  This workshop is for you no matter where you are on the spectrum of anger.  This is an invitation to intentionally tend to any anger you may or may not be in touch with.  This is an opportunity to honor your anger as sacred, the healing power of fire, and tend to your inner fire to bring you into greater balance and deepen your relationship with nature and yourself.

Tending Grief & Our Waterways

PAST Workshop - Sliding Scale $35 - $55

June 29th, 2025 at 12:00 - 4:00 PM

This is the first of a series of 4 Ecotherapy workshops designed to tend to our four primary emotions: Grief, Anger, Fear, and Joy.  Each emotion will be associated with a primary element of nature to work together to support you.

We will work with the element of water and the gift of local Elk Creek here at Full Moon Farm.  You may feel grief associated with Hurricane Helene, the loss of loved ones, the injustices of the world, war torn countries, the drastic change of our current federal government, heartbreak, an aging body, illness, etc.  You may feel the grief of the Earth, the grief of humanity, maybe a more personal grief, or no grief at all.  This workshop is for you no matter where you are on the spectrum of grief.  This is an invitation to intentionally tend to any grief that you may or may not be in touch with.  This is an opportunity to honor grief, the healing power of water, and tend to our water ways to bring you into greater balance and deepen your relationship with nature and yourself.

Community as Medicine

PAST Workshop - Free

May 24, 2025 at 5:30 - 8:30 PM

Potluck Dinner will be offered starting at 5:30 PM to share food while we commune to support group processing

We are all living with the significant changes taking place due to the federal government administration. Many of us are anxious about all the ways it will impact us, our communities, and loved ones. Some of us are already directly impacted in ways that lead to lost income, food and shelter insecurity, lack of safety, lack of necessary medical care, etc.  Regardless of where you stand in your political beliefs, we are all being and/or going to be impacted by these vast changes.

Full Moon Farm Collective is a hub to foster community care. We invite you to come gather and share your personal stories of how you are being affected.  What are your concerns? How can we better show up and care for one another through these times? This will be an opportunity to really listen to people’s different experiences.

This is not an invitation to debate or argue about our differences. This is an opportunity to learn from one another through deep listening. This is an opportunity to share what’s on your heart and mind, and experience solidarity and recognition that you are not alone. What are your fears? What do you need? What do you want to offer? What are your greatest joys that get you through challenging times in the best way possible?

Let’s gather, be together in authentic ways so we can build and strengthen our community.  We are not meant to endure these challenges alone.  We will gather outside at Full Moon Farm where we can hear the birds sing, the sound of the creek flowing, and the wind in the trees as the beautiful lush green spring is growing rapidly all around us giving us hope and some inner calm and peace amidst these political storms we are enduring.

Healing with the Elements

PAST Workshop - $25 to $45 sliding scale

March 29th, 2025 at 11:00AM - 3:00PM PM

An elemental approach to mental/emotional/spiritual wellness.

We have all been through a lot with they aftermath of Hurricane Helene, elections, holidays, new administration, and many huge changes in government that continue to impact us all in new ways each day. We each likely have pent up stress and energy that is stagnant of lingering and preventing you from accessing the joy, fulfillment, peace, or satisfaction you may desire.

We will be coming out of Winter and entering early Spring come March 29th. This is the perfect time to venture out and come experience a deeper connection to others and nature that can foster a deeper connection to self. This deeper connection to the elements and each other will support you in releasing stress or energy that no longer serves you, and clear the way to plant the seeds for what you hope in this next phase of your life. We will guide a small group of people to connecting in a meaningful/intentional way to the four elements: Water, Fire, Air, Earth. This will foster healing, growth, and wellness.

Workshop: Healing With Nature

Healing With Nature

PAST Workshop

February 22nd, 2025 at 12:00 - 3:00PM

Join us to take intentional time in nature to reflect and engage in gentle healing practices. Since Hurricane Helene, our lands and rivers have changed drastically, our nation is changing, technology is changing the world, and we are changing with it all. We will work with elements to experience grounding, gain clarity and inner peace, and connect with each other and nature. Since Helene, both the land and ourselves are living with a rawness and vulnerability, much like an open wound. In times of great change, we need to ground and connect with what is most valuable to ensure we are contributing to the world in ways that align with our values, and work toward creating the world we want to live in and leave for future generations. When you leave you will feel better prepared to proceed with life in ways that shore you up, nourish you, and support your continued alignment with your values.

Some of what you’ll experience in our time together includes: circle as a group; grounding practices; nature-based meditation; reflection and visioning; communication and co-regulation in Nature
